Fried Halloumi with Mint and Lemon

An easily prepared snack that will get mouths watering. Be sure to serve straight off the frying pan

Serves 8


  • 20g plain flour
  • 250g Oliana halloumi, drained and cut into 1cm thick slices
  • ΒΌ cup Oliana olive oil
  • 1 tbs finely chopped fresh mint
  • Lemon wedges to serve


Place the flour on a plate. Coat halloumi in flour and shake off any excess.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add half the halloumi and cook for 2-3 minutes each side or until light golden brown. Transfer to a serving platter. Repeat with remaining halloumi.

Sprinkle the halloumi with mint and drizzle with extra oil. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
